The newest little luxury to hit the technology market is the Ego for Bentley laptop.
It has a 160gb hard drive, four USB ports and a swish leather case. The problem is that it has 2gb of RAM and has Vista installed.
So what’s the problem, you may ask.
Windows Vista is really optimized to work well with a MINIMUM of 3gb RAM, so the Ego for Bentley falls short by 1gb.
Now for an even worse shocker… The price….
The Ego for Bentley costs £10,000 (around $20,000)…..
Just because it can’t run Windows doesn’t mean that it’s still not an impressive laptop, just that Windows is a complete hog. It’d be foolish to spend that much on hardware and utterly cripple it with a toy OS.
I hate Vista. My room mate bought a new Toshiba laptop, and unless the old desktop and my three year old laptop are both down at the same time I refuse to fool with the thing. If I were considering buying a new laptop I would seriously consider an Apple.
